The Nanooks trotted out closer, turned start Jacob DeGrom to start game six and provide the knockout punch. DeGrom did his part, striking out ten over 6 1/2, but it was journeyman Trayce Thomspon who provided the punch as his two-run shot in the eighth propelled Kansas City to a 4-3 win and force a Game 7.
Game 7 is slated for Halloween.
