Needing a win or New York Knight loss to clinch, the Nanooks failed to secure their own destiny dropping a 3-0 contest to Kansas City. All eyes then turned to New York, where the Knights where hosting the Sharkz on the final regular season day.
Needing a win to force a three-game playoff, the Knights fell behind early following a two-run blast in the first and never really recovered after that giving up six more runs in an 8-2 loss.
The playoffs will commence on Monday where the Sharkz and Nanooks will face off in a best of five wild card round, with the winner advancing to face the Tigers. Ohio and Kansas City will square off in the other first round series following the conclusion of the wild card round.

With one game left in the regular season, the Nanooks won, which meant New York had to win or face elimination. With the Knights down and almost out, they came up with a five-run eighth inning which temporarily salvaged their season and kept them a game behind.
A Vancouver win, will eliminate the Knights.....but a Vancouver loss, coupled with a New York win over Redondo Beach would create a nightmare scenario for the league, with three teams tied for the final wild card spot.

Good news for New York: They snuck past Redondo Beach, 3-2 Tuesday. Bad news: Vancouver also won, which kept them outside the playoff picture. With two games to go, Vancouver holds a ever so slim 1 game lead as the two teams close out the year with what amount to must-win games.

With nine games to go, the New York Knights and Vancouver Naooks are now tied for the final playoff spot. It's been New York's recent hot streak matching Vancouver's cold snap that has brought these two teams together.
We are headed down the stretch, and it is anyone's race to win.

For Vancouver, the struggles are coming at the worst possible time. The Nanooks lost again on Monday, dropping an 8-3 contest to San Antonio. The loss is the fifth in a row for Vancouver who are now 2-8 over their last ten games.
On the other hand, the New York Knights, once 4 games behind Vancouver in the race for the final playoff spot, are now one game ahead of the Nanooks thanks in part to an 8-2 record over their last ten.
With ten to go, it's anybody's race in the battle for that final spot.
Also, League office apologizes for not posting scores this weekend.

With 16 games to go, The New York Knights have cut the gap between them at the Nanooks who currently hold the final wild card spot to two games. With 16 games to go, there may be a playoff race after all.
Meanwhile, the Tigers' seasons of firsts continues as the club's magic number to secure the league's top spot stands at three.

With 19 games to go, there may not be a mad dash for the final wild card spot. Vancouver holds a four-game lead over the New York Knights. Kansas CIty is trying to hold on for home field advantage in that wild card round and holds a three-game lead over the Nanooks for that spot
